ECONàutic: Sailing Towards a More Sustainable Future

Nachrichten | 31/07/2026

Committed to protecting the marine environment and promoting responsible boating, Port Roses takes part in the ECONàutic project, an initiative led by the Catalan Association of Marinas and Tourist Ports (ACPET) that promotes environmentally responsible practices throughout the recreational boating sector.

To encourage better waste management on board, berth holders at the marina can now collect their recycling bag pack free of charge from the harbour office. A simple initiative that makes recycling easier and helps keep our surroundings cleaner.

Every Action Counts

Protecting the Bay of Roses, the Cap de Creus Natural Park and the sea is a shared responsibility. Everyday actions such as sorting waste correctly, preventing any discharge into the sea, reducing single-use plastics, and using water and energy responsibly all make a meaningful contribution to preserving our natural environment.

Through the ECONàutic project, we aim to help boaters make these good practices part of their everyday routine by providing practical resources and useful tools for more sustainable navigation.

Collect Your Pack

If you are an annual berth holder at Port Roses, you can collect your recycling bag pack free of charge from the harbour office.

With this initiative, we continue working towards a more sustainable marina by promoting responsible waste management and helping to preserve the environmental quality of our coastline together.
