Port of Roses and GEN reaffirm their commitment to the training and promotion of nautical sports
This Thursday, the signing of a new agreement between the Port of Roses and the Nautical Sports Group (GEN) took place at the facilities of the Port Esportiu de Roses, which continues the collaboration agreement established in 2024 between both entities. The common objective is to contribute to the development and promotion of nautical sports in Roses, especially in the field of regattas and training activities promoted by GEN and in the dissemination and institutional positioning of the Port of Roses.
The signing was carried out by the presidents of the two entities Fèlix Llorens Palou , on behalf of Port de Roses, and Jordi Batlle Cusí , on behalf of GEN. The new agreement will enter into force on January 1, 2026 and will be valid for 4 years. With it, a long history of joint work is consolidated and a stable framework of cooperation is offered that will allow to promote regattas, training activities and top-level sporting events, while giving greater visibility to the Port de Roses brand.
Economic contribution and logistical support
The agreement includes a maximum annual financial contribution of €60,000 + VAT per year from Port de Roses, intended to support activities of general interest promoted by GEN. This contribution will be distributed quarterly and will be conditional on the technical, economic and photographic justification of the activities carried out.
In addition , Port of Roses will reinforce its support with the assignment of moorings for GEN boats, parking facilities for regatta participants, institutional dissemination of events organized by GEN, operational collaboration , with boats and skipper support when possible and the assignment of the 5,000 liter water tank for boat cleaning.
GEN commitments
The GEN undertakes to organize and manage the regattas, championships and events agreed upon in each season , maintain the current use agreements for the port's facilities and boats and guarantee the prominent presence of the PORT DE ROSES brand in all communication materials, equipment and dissemination elements linked to the events (billboards, social networks, clothing, nautical equipment, etc.)
The club will also have to present a quarterly calendar of activities and detailed justifications for the actions carried out, maintain the areas of the port used in good condition and tidy and organize an open day coinciding with Marina Day, with activities aimed at the general public and port users.
