The ‘To Be ILCA Laser Master’ regatta in Roses comes to an end
Two races were held over a weekend characterised by patience, tactics and shifting winds in the bay.
This weekend, 5 and 6 September, GEN Roses hosted the To Be ILCA Laser Master regatta, bringing together a fleet of 19 sailors in the Master category, ready to compete in the waters of the Alt Empordà.
The weather put both the fleet and the race committee to the test. With very light winds and constant shifts in direction, reading the race course proved crucial. Thanks to the organisers’ efforts to make the most of every wind window, one race was completed on Saturday and another on Sunday, bringing the championship to a close with a total of two valid races.
These were highly tactical conditions in which the experience of the Master sailors proved crucial in making the most of every gust.
We would like to thank the 19 participants for their attendance and excellent sportsmanship, as well as the entire on-water team and volunteers for their efforts in adapting to such an unpredictable weekend.
