Roses launches an audiovisual campaign to raise awareness about tourism sustainability

Turisme de Roses is launching a new campaign this week that aims to raise awareness among both local citizens and visitors about the importance of their active role in the sustainability of the municipality. The campaign includes the dissemination of 17 short videos made with the 2D motion graphics animation technique, and is part of the “Canvia't el xip 2” project, included within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) and financed with Next Generation EU funds.

Through a dynamic, fresh and approachable style, the audiovisual capsules address issues related to respect for the environment, but also economic, cultural and social aspects. Topics include waste management, the use of tourism resources, energy efficiency, coexistence between tourists and residents, or the promotion of local consumption, among others. Roses adds three schools and the La Vinyassa football field to bioenergy

Roses has begun work on expanding the biomass heating network, which will allow the number of facilities in the town to be powered by this renewable and environmentally friendly energy to increase. Cleaning the seabed at the second pier collects 1,000 kg of rubbish

Last Sunday, a new day of cleaning the seabed took place, this time organized by the Badia de Roses Club at the second pier on Palangrers beach, which ended with the removal of 1,000 kg of rubbish, including twenty tires and a container.

This morning took place at the Teatre Municipal de Roses the act of signing the Letter of Commitment to obtain the Biosphere certificate, a seal that accredits destinations with a responsible tourism model aimed at meeting the challenges of the agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) of the United Nations.
