Roses continues to promote dry stone heritage with the third Instagram Photo Contest
The Economic Promotion Department of the City Council is organizing, between March 1 and 31, the III Instagram Photo Contest of the dry stone heritage of Roses, with the aim of publicizing and disseminating the variety and richness of the dry stone heritage of the municipality. The contest is endowed with a prize of €300.
The procedure to participate in the contest is very simple. All you have to do is share original photographs on Instagram of the dry stone elements that exist in the municipality of Roses, tagging another person in the photograph and using the hashtag #pedrasecaroses2026.
Contestants can photograph those dry stone elements of the municipal area that they know or discover new ones through the megalithic and dry stone itinerary I and the megalithic and dry stone itinerary II offered by Turisme de Roses through its website ( visitroses.cat ). Another interesting platform is the Wikipedra website, an interactive catalog of the Landscape Observatory of Catalonia, which allows you to consult the huts, walls, wells and other elements made with the dry stone construction technique, with their description and the coordinates to locate them.
