Roses says hello to summer with a weekend of music and gastronomy by the sea
The Economic Promotion Area is renewing its programming this year, with a new proposal to welcome summer: HolaEstiu, an event that takes over from the Fira de la Rosa and where music, gastronomy and the seaside atmosphere will be the main protagonists. It will be held on the weekend of June 5, 6 and 7 and will also feature advantages in shops, activities and accommodation.
The HolaEstiu activities will take place on the Paseo M arítim, in front of Plaça de Catalunya, and will make Roses the first municipality on the Costa Brava to inaugurate the summer season, with a program designed to enjoy the sea, gastronomy , local commerce and summer evenings . With this new proposal, Roses is committed to a fresh and participatory event to kick off summer in a privileged environment.
For three days, the promenade will be filled with live music, DJ sessions and gastronomic tastings, in a proposal open to both citizens and visitors. As for the musical program, it will include performances by the Maribel Orchestra, Tapeo Sound System and Banannabeach Trio, as well as sessions by DJs Adrià Giner, Marvin and Alegre, who will entertain the afternoons and nights of Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
At the same time, different restaurants and establishments will offer summer gastronomic tastings every evening, from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and until 10 p.m. on Sunday. Among the participants will be Ca la Valeria, Can Cairó-La Fraternal, Can Cervera, Cervesa de Roses, L'Àncora, La Deliciosa, M Bistro, Stop Bar and Zappi Pizzeria. In addition, between May 29 and June 7, Ca la Valeria, l'Àncora, La Fraternal and Harry's Bar, will join the proposal and offer 'HolaEstiu' cocktails in their establishments.
HolaEstiu once again has the complicity of the private sector through the Roses Cap de Creus Business Association, with a good number of local establishments that have joined the initiative by offering advantages in their products and services . They can be found from promotions on nautical activities such as cruises around the bay, kayak rental, catamaran excursions, surf and paddle surfing rental... to discounts on the purchase of swimsuits, flip-flops and towels, in sun protection ranges, or on garden furniture, among others. Several accommodations also offer a 15% discount on rates by making reservations with the code "HolaEstiu26".
