Between March 31 and April 5, the international grassroots football tournament MICFootball celebrates its 24th edition, once again bringing together thousands of young players in the Girona regions during Easter. Roses will be one of the 45 venues of the tournament and will host a total of 44 matches in the U13 and U15 categories.

The director of the competition, Juanjo Rovira, traveled to Roses yesterday where, accompanied by the mayor, Josep Maria Martínez; the councilor for Sports, Miguel Ángel Muñoz; and the representative of the Roses Base Football Club, Miguel Ángel Bernal; he presented the 2026 edition of the tournament.

MICFootball 2026 will officially kick off next Wednesday, April 1st, with the opening ceremony at the Vilatenim Stadium in Figueres. This year, the competition will feature a total of 482 teams from 42 nationalities.  The tournament can be followed for free via streaming, after registering on the MICFootballTV platform ( www.micfootballtv.com ), thanks to the broadcast of all matches, which will be recorded with smart cameras. Matches will also be broadcast on Movistar+, Gol, Esport3 and La Xarxa.

In Roses, the Mas Oliva and La Vinyassa Stadiums will host a total of 44 matches in the U13 (children) and U15 (cadet) categories between 2 and 4 April . The host field in Roses this year is the La Vinyassa field, which will host 23 matches, while 21 will be played at the Stadium.
