'The animals of the port', a new activity at Port de Roses for this summer
This summer, the Roses Marina is offering a family activity and a catamaran trip to discover the marine biodiversity of the port and the coast of Cap de Creus. The activities will be led by the Terramar Natura i Cultura entity and are part of the program to comply with the environmental certifications that the Roses marina holds (EMAS, CETS, Blue Flag, etc.), specifically in the area of dissemination, awareness and environmental education.
The family workshop 'The animals of the port', invites young and old to learn about the different species and marine biodiversity. Throughout the session, participants will capture, with the help of a hose and saltwater fish, macroplankton and zooplankton that live in the port. They will then be placed in trays to be observed with the naked eye or with the help of small magnifying glasses and, with the reinforcement of visual cards, participants will be able to identify and visualize the different species and learn about the biodiversity that exists in the waters of the port.
This is a participatory and experiential activity for families, which aims to raise awareness about the need to implement sustainability projects such as those promoted by Port de Roses and take care of maintaining a clean environment.
'Els animalons del port' will take place every Tuesday from July 15 to August 26 (both included), at 11 a.m. The price is €2 and tickets can be purchased at: https://empordaturisme.koobin.com/
Catamaran trip along the coast of Cap de Creus
Another activity organized by Port de Roses is the visit with the “Magic” boat that will take place on September 21. From the port, and along the coast of the Natural Park, participants will be able to learn about the singularities of the coast (geology, vegetation, human settlements, history, ...) and also its relationship with the work that is done from the marina.
