News | 04/07/2026

This morning the celebration of the Feast of Saint Peter, patron saint of fishermen, took place, organized by the Fishermen's Brotherhood of Roses and the City Council. This year's program aimed to highlight the memory and maritime culture of Roses with various activities and maintaining the fish stew, the habaneras and the popular revetlla dance as protagonists.

The party took place on the commercial dock of the port, starting with a song of habaneras that gave way to the preparation and traditional tasting of fish stew prepared by the Fishermen's Brotherhood. The day will culminate tonight with a dance by the La Montecarlo orchestra (starting at 10 p.m.) and, at 10:30 p.m., the performance of a light show.

In addition to today's central events, last Wednesday also took place within the framework of the Sant Pere festival, the screening of the documentary Aiguallum Lamparo , a short film dedicated to the last spider web of Roses, and a round table on the history and evolution of the local fishing world.
