The little creatures of the port

Family activity within the port of Roses. With the help of a plankton net to capture macroplankton and small dip nets, we will collect zooplankton living in the port. By dragging the net along the dock and at certain access points near the water (Cuana stream), and with the help of dip nets, we will catch this macroplankton and place it in white trays to observe it with the naked eye or using small magnifying glasses. With the support of visual identification cards, we will be able to identify and observe the different species and discover the biodiversity present. The activity can be connected to the port’s sustainability projects, such as fish monitoring, since they are part of the trophic network, maintaining a clean environment, and so on. It is a participative, experiential activity for family groups.
