SUP Race Roses 2025: A Spectacular Catalonia Paddle Surf Championship at GEN Roses!

GEN Roses was the epicenter of paddle surfing this past weekend with the celebration of the SUP Race Roses 2025 that counted as the Catalan Paddle Surf Championship of the Catalan Circuit. A total of 37 paddlers came to Roses to play the Beach Sprint events on Saturday 8 and the long distance modality on Sunday 9.

Beach Sprint The day on Saturday was marked by speed and technique in sand and water. The Beach Sprint races consist of a sprint for the sand to the water loading the table and rowing, followed by a round trip through the water and ending with a sprint for the sand to the finish line. N2 Windsurf chronicle

The GEN Roses has kicked off the windsurfing season with the organization of the Vila de Roses Trophy, the first test of the Catalan circuit. The regatta, held this weekend in the Bay of Roses, has had the participation of almost 60 sailors from various Catalan clubs, consolidating itself as a vibrant start for the regional competition.

The competition started strongly on Saturday, taking advantage of the classic marinade of the bay to celebrate a total of four tests for each class. Wind conditions allowed sailors to demonstrate their technique in known waters.
