Roses is taking part in the worldwide CLEAN4CHANGE initiative with a waste collection on 18 September. 10.09.2022

CLEAN4CHANGE 2022, a waste collection event open to all those who wish to participate in this worldwide event, will be held in Roses on 18 September. The activity is organised by TOMRA, a multinational company in the recycling sector based in Roses, with the collaboration of Roses ZeroPlàstics, Cabirols, Club Atletisme de Roses and Port de Roses.

The Cleanchange initiative brings together volunteers from all over the world to collect rubbish from leisure areas, the mountains and the sea, and take a step towards a cleaner and more sustainable planet. SUBMON will check the state of the posidonia in the coves of Roses. 07.09.2022

- The intervention will be carried out with the collaboration of the City Council of Roses, the Port of Roses and the Natural Park of Cabo de Creus.

- It is part of SUBMON's Underwater Forests project, which has the support of Bonpreu and Esclat and Worldcoo through the Solidarity Rounding campaign.

The "PELICAN UN" starts the floating waste cleaning service on the coastline.

The service is carried out on all the beaches and urban coves of the municipality, i.e. Almadrava, Canyelles, Bonifaci, Palangrers, La Punta, La Nova, El Rastrell, Salatar and Santa Margarita, as well as on all the stretches of slope that run between them.

Roses requests a 15-year concession for the management of the anchoring buoy field.

It has included in the request the project for the installation of ecological dead bodies between Canyelles and Jóncols cove and the action would involve an investment of 888,000 euros.

This morning a new meeting of the monitoring committee of the Accessibility Plan for the Cap de Creus Natural Park was held in Roses. Created last year on the occasion of the application of the new measures for vehicle access to the park during the summer, the commission's objective is to coordinate these measures, attending to and anticipating all the needs of the population during the season, from public safety to aspects related to economic activity and tourist services.
